Thew fact that books sit on shelves has always slightly annoyed me. You know, you buy them, read them browse them, get them out once a year or more if they are lucky. Sometimes reference books come out more often, but generally art and design books have great content that simply isn't used much after purchase. This makes me sad.

I was at an Andreas Gursky show in Osaka and I thought, I can't buy a print, but I could buy the book, but then the book would simply sit on a shelf. So I set about thinking how it could do more than sit on a shelf.

This is a simple idea. A book frame with a little depth and an open right hand side. You open the book and slide it in. Simple. I just had to make it.
